My dear constituents, greetings. Let me start by saying once again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you as your 35 Year old. You trusted me with this great responsibility, and I do not take it for granted. As your 35 Year Old, I made promises that I intend to keep. However words mean nothing if they are not turned into reality. Sure, some people have been labelled great because of their historic words, but not Me. Me, I am a man of action. And like any great leader, I hold myself responsible for my actions. So, let’s see how I did.

Education

I took this position on a platform of continuous personal growth. I promised you that at any one time I would be involved with at least one educational program, geared towards helping me grow my leadership skills. Fellow Citizens, I am happy to say that within a month of my Administration, I had enrolled myself in a program called Dare to Lead by a revolutionary lady named Rene Brown, and successfully graduated before the year ended.

Applause.

Health

Ladies and gentlemen, as a 35 year old, health is no longer an option. It is imperative. The mistakes of your youth catch up with you. Your bad habits are harder to break. And then there’s the phenomenon called Mental wellness. Any healthy 35 year old, married or not, a parent or not, unless genuinely emotionally stunted, will have to grapple with Mental health for one simple reason; The world expects more of you, period. My fellow Citizens, I will admit that my administration could have done better in this arena. I battled with periodic fatigue, and a general lack of healthy time-out activities did not help. I have formed a committee of myself and friends to tackle this issue, and you can rest assured that we will tackle the issue of Mental health once and for all.

Muted Applause.

Finance

What is an economy without Finance? Money gives us freedom to explore more of who we are. Money, if well utilised, gives us the means to do good, and leave something for future generations. Plus, Money is just nice to have. We all know that. As I said earlier, the world has a lot of expectations from you as a 35 year old. And Finance is one of those areas. Simply earning an income is no longer enough. Questions start coming up around savings and investments. And the scariest one of all is the retirement conversation. Why? Because you are still too young to understand retirement, and too old to not think about it. It’s a tumultuous time. As your 35 Year old, I was prepared for this responsibility. I had undertaken a Personal Finance class. I had gotten myself a finance Coach. I had a plan, and I am happy to say that plan is well on track. Our country is on a firm path to financial freedom.

Screams and shouts.

Faith

I stand here firmly and say it for all to hear. I am a Christian. A born again Christian. This did not change when I took up this role. That said, I also subscribe to the democratic principle of religious freedom, so I will not dictate to this great nation what Faith to adopt. My faith has helped me withstand some tough times in my life. My firm belief in the sovereign power of the God I serve is the platform upon which I run my affairs, and let me tell you, it Works. I encourage all of us to commit ourselves to connecting with powers higher than ourselves, for the sake of our souls.

Awkward silence

Social Welfare

Everyone deserves a life of dignity. It is the hallmark of any civilised society. We take care of our poor, our old and our young. We keep our families intact. We deepen community roots so our children have social circles to grow up in. We institute value systems that hold us true to each other as human beings. That my dear friends is how we ensure the welfare of each an every Citizen. I am proud of my achievements in this Pillar. Through frequent get togethers and continuously checking in on each other, my family and friendship ties grew better than ever. I have initiatives in place to ensure the well being of my Parents in their old age. And when I can, I indulge in small pleasures here and there because everyone deserves nice things, won’t you agree?

Shouts of agreement.

As i conclude, we have now crossed into a new year, and my Administration is well aware of the task ahead. With only Six months to go before I run for re-election as your 36 Year Old, I am confident that we will finish stronger than we started. I have my personal advisors actively holding me accountable, and I can tell you that my wife does not let me rest either, ha ha ha! Thank you, and God bless you all.
